GMP compliant cleanroom for pharmaceutical production

The products at Jamjoom Pharmaceuticals are made in line with Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP). GMP stands for guidelines for quality assurance of production processes and environments in the production of medical products and active pharmaceutical ingredients.

Filling process for eye drops in Vitec cleanroom on two floors

The filling process of eye drops demands according to the guidelines an environment of GMP class B. Jamjoom Pharmaceuticals has built a new cleanroom area which corresponds to these standards over two floors together with Vitec. 

In order to reach the relevant production areas, employees have to pass through various locks to reach the next purity class and eventually the actual production area. The same naturally also applies to the material flow. To leave the production areas again, the same process must be carried out in reverse.

This prevents the introduction of germs and bacteria.

Personnel and material lock doors are equipped with electrical components and corresponding access controls. Furthermore there are two active material locks. The lock control system can be adapted to the customer's latest requirements via remote monitoring. In addition, a problem can be localised very quickly without having to be on site.

The cleanroom area spreads over two floors, each with 1,800 m² of fully accessible ceiling space. The luminaires and supply/exhaust air outlets used are all installed flush with the ceiling.
